Eversheds is to make up to 33 property lawyers, plus related support staff, redundant.
Consultations with affected staff began this week.
The firm is also closing its Norwich office and remaining staff will transfer to the Cambridge office. Eversheds, which employs nearly 400 property lawyers, blamed the downturn for the cutbacks.
‘We are not immune from current market conditions and so last month initiated a strategic review of our real estate team,’ said Lee Ranson, head of Eversheds’ real estate group.'
