Social media giant Facebook has agreed terms to let the entire office space at the 14-acre Bankcentre campus in Dublin to quadruple its headquarters presence in the Irish capital.
The new campus, secured on a 20-year lease in an agreement with outgoing occupants Allied Irish Bank and land owners at the scheme including the joint venture between Irish developer Johnny Ronan’s Ronan Group and US investor Colony Capital, will be operational from March 2019. It will also be home to staff working for Facebook’s subsidiaries WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, and its Oculus virtual reality unit.
