Fleurets chairman Martin Willis has announced his retirement after 34 years with the firm.

Willis joined the specialist pub adviser in 1984 as an associate, becoming a partner in 1987 and a director when the firm incorporated in 1991.

He was instrumental in the firm’s national expansion but based in London throughout his career rising through the ranks to become managing director and chairman. Willis was lead valuer on a number of major pub and hotel portfolio valuations and acted on a number of high profile transactions including several company sales including Ei Group’s sale of a portfolio of 13 pubs and five convenience stores to institutional investment clients of OLIM Property for £20.3m last year.

Managing director Graeme Bunn said: “Martin has been a key part of Fleurets for over three decades. The other directors and I have worked closely with him since we joined the firm and will miss his extensive knowledge and experience. We wish him a long and happy retirement.”
