FORE Partnership has received planning permission from Southwark Council to build a 110,000 sq ft workspace next to Tower Bridge, with a development value of around £90m.

The building will be 100% electric and zero carbon in operation and will use solar panels to generate electrical power. FORE is aiming for BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and an energy performance certification of A.

It is also aiming to receive a WELL Building Standard certification of Platinum, which would make it one of around 20 to receive this.

FORE acquired the 68,090 sq ft building for £51m in July 2018. It is partnering with development manager Landid and the building will be designed by Stiff + Trevillion. CBRE is the office letting agent.

Basil Demeroutis, managing partner at FORE Partnership, said: “FORE is committed to creating developments that drive positive social and environmental benefits and better reflect the way people live, work, and interact with one another.

“With TBC we will deliver an exemplar transformation of an outdated office building, creating one of the most advanced office buildings in the UK market that will sets new benchmarks in sustainability, health and wellbeing and positive social impact.”

CBRE is the office letting agent for Tower Bridge Court. Bruce Gillingham Pollard is the retail agent.
