Sean Collidge, the former executive chairman and founder of Freeport, is due to appear in the High Court today as his year-long battle with designer outlet village company steps up a gear. Daily Telegraph

Collidge, who resigned from the company on 31 March 2006, is suing retail property company Freeport for lost benefits. It is believed his claim now totals £1.2m.

Freeport is counter-suing Collidge for what last year amounted to almost £60,000 as a result of accusations of financial impropriety at the company he founded.
