The French businessman behind the Paul bakery chain is to turn his attention to Britain’s flower market after teaming up with France’s biggest florist to launch a new chain of stores in the UK. The Daily Telegraph. The Times
David Belhassen, who launched Paul in London seven years ago, is due to open the first of a planned 50 florists, in South Kensington, London, tomorrow.
Monceau Fleurs is a joint venture between Belhassen and Laurent Amar, chief executive of the Monceau Fleurs Group.
Monceau Fleurs has 125 shops in France and annual sales of more than €120m (£83.6m)
