Gateshead council grants permission for new entertainment and cultural centre

The Gateshead Municipal Borough Council has approved plans for The Sage, a £260m waterfront leisure development in the city.

The mixed-use entertainment district, developed by Ask Real Estate and Patrizia, will include hotels, bars, restaurants and retail, creating a destination on the banks of the River Tyne. The development, designed by HOK, will be operated by ASM Global.
