Gladman Developments is planning a speculative £14m office scheme in Cumbernauld, near Glasgow.

The developer has acquired the 7.6 acre site from Stockland Halladale for an undisclosed sum.

Gladman is planning an 86,255 sq ft office development next to Stockland Halladale’s Westway Retail Park on the A80 in Cumbernauld. The scheme is to be called The Arches Business Park.

A planning application for a mix of office space, ranging from 2,250 sq ft suites to buildings of 10,070 sq ft, is to be submitted to North Lanarkshire Council shortly.

Gladman plans to develop the site in two phases, beginning with 30,000 sq ft.

North Star Development Solutions acted for Gladman in buying the site. Ryden acted on behalf of Stockland Halladale in the disposal.

Ryden and James Barr have been appointed as agents on the scheme.
