Bishops stortford goods yard

East Herts District Council has resolved to grant approval for a Network Rail-led joint venture redevelopment of the former goods yard site at Bishop’s Stortford.

The 5.82 hectare brownfield scheme, planned by Solum, Kier Property and Network Rail Property, will deliver 586 homes, including at least 117 affordable homes, around the town’s railway station. It will also feature office space, an 85-bed hotel, new retail accommodation, a care home and enhanced public realm as well as station and transport enhancements.
