Berkeley Urban Renaissance has got the go-ahead for a mixed-use project in Stanmore in north west London.

Berkeley Urban Renaissance will begin work on the 14 acre scheme on Honeypot Lane to create 10,700 sq ft of retail, 798 homes and 96,000 sq ft of office space for small businesses.

Planning set backs

The developers had suffered various planning set backs over a four year period but permission was granted after the developer and Turley Associates lodged an appeal for non-determination over Harrow council’s failure to make a decision on the scheme.

It was subsequently called in by the Secretary of State due to the substantial housing element and the go ahead was received this week.

Planning and urban design consultancy Turley Associates is adviser and architects Hamiltons are masterplanners.
