Goodman has won a long-fought battle to get planning permission to redevelop Andover Airfield in Hampshire.
Test Valley Borough Council approved the plans for the 1.5m sq ft mixed-use redevelopment, which will include an 900,000 sq ft shed that retailer Tesco has shown serious interest in occupying, as well as offices and a hotel, on Monday night.
Goodman will still need to work with Hampshire County Council on the transport issues but the green light for the development on the 125 acre site is a major step forward for the developer, which submitted its initial plans more than a year ago, and has had a decision postponed twice since then.
Jason Harris of Goodman said: ' We are now keen to begin actively marketing the warehouse, offices and hotel and feel that this strategically located site has a great deal to offer occupiers.'
