Google invests in data centre with $600m Vegas spend

Tech giant Google has confirmed plans to develop a $600m (£467m) data centre in Henderson, Nevada.

The company plans to build the data centre for Design LLC, a subsidiary of Google, on 64 acres of land just outside Las Vegas. The data centre will be used to support Google services in North America including cloud computing, YouTube, Google Calendar and Gmail.
