Government cuts property running costs by £22m in 2017/18

The government cut the size of its estate by 1.7m sq ft in the 2017/18 financial year, reducing its annual running costs by £22m.

The government also generated £750m of capital from the sale of more than 400 sites. This brings total property sales in the last three years to £2.4bn.
