Government takes ownership of Grenfell tower site and says it won’t be redeveloped

The Government has taken ownership of the Grenfell Tower site from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC).

The site of the Grenfell disaster is now defined as Crown land and the government has announced that it will not be redeveloped, unless the local community “does not want it”.
