Countryside Properties has got the go-ahead for its 22 acre residential-led scheme at Glebe Farm, south of Cambridge.

Countryside said the 300-home development would provide a gateway to the city.

It is one of four sites earmarked for residential development in the Cambridge City Local Plan.

It is near to Countryside’s Clay Farm scheme, which also has planning permission for 2,300 homes.

John Oldham, director and group chief town planner for Countryside Properties, said: ‘This planning consent is the Green light for a much needed housing scheme which will help to provide a very high quality new focus to Cambridge from the south.’

The masterplanner on the project is PRP Architects.
