Kenmore has won planning permission for its £75m Snow Hill development in central Birmingham.

It has secured detailed planning consent from Birmingham City Council for the 180,000 sq ft first phase of the No 1 Snow Hill Plaza development.

Daniel Williams, head of development at Kenmore, said: ‘This scheme forms part of the significant development plans for No 1 Snow Hill Plaza, which will provide Birmingham with a landmark gateway into the city and further aid the regeneration of the city’s central core.’

The building will comprise 15 storeys on the 0.5 acre site, which is known locally as ‘The Strip’ and is located opposite Snowhill train station.

The sustainable development will form part of the larger Snow Hill Plaza scheme, which got the Green light in November 2007 for 450,000 sq ft of office and retail space.

The development allows for a second inter-linked phase.

Kenmore has appointed CBRE and King Sturge as agents on the scheme and is looking for pre-lets. Hamiltons is architect on the scheme.
