The Northern Ireland Executive yesterday gave the go ahead for the £97m Titanic Signature Project at the Titanic Quarter regeneration scheme in Belfast.
Work on the project is set to start in January, and the executive said it would put £43m towards the cost. It is part of the Titanic Quarter project to regenerate 185 acres of Belfast docklands.
The executive also gave the Green light to a £150m rapid transit system for Belfast.
The bus-based system is set to conenct the city centre to the east and west of the city, and to Titanic Quarter.
Work is due to start in 2011.
