Grosvenor has poached Giles Clarke, director of investment and asset management at the Crown Estate, to lead its London investment team.

Clarke, who will become investment director for residential and offices, is expected to join Grosvenor in July this year.

This is the second recent senior level appointment by the company after it recruited Michael Baker from Quintain to head its London development team.

Peter Vernon, executive director, London, said: ‘Giles has wide residential and commercial investment experience and a deep understanding of managing large, complex mixed use estates.’

Clarke, who joined the Crown Estate as its head of residential estates in 2003, said: ‘There are a lot of similar qualities between the two companies and I am delighted to be joining Grosvenor at such a key time.’
