GVA Grimley’s 71 partners earned £446,500 on average in the last financial year.

The top paid partner received a £904,000 package for the year to 30 April 2007 as revealed in its report and accounts published today.

Post tax profits were up 18% to £31.7m. Turnover reached £148.4m with £139m from core professional services fees.

The business’s core fee base comes from its consultancy business with £74m coming in for the year to 30 April. In contrast its capital markets business achieved a fees of £17m while asset management reached £11m.

The business, which has its historical heart in the Midlands saw its Birmingham based regional business increase by 66% over the past five years with £22m in fees coming in. Strong growth was also seen in its Scottish, Bristol and Leeds office and it is growing its Newcastle based business following its takeover of Lamb & Edge last year.

Bob Barnett, chief executive, said: ‘We will remain focused on the UK and we still see opportunity to grow market share here. Our focus for growth is on London and the south east and our turnover has reached £60m for the London region. The growth will be organic but could include acquisitions.’
