The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham has appointed a new head of strategic regeneration to focus on development in the area.

It has poached Ken Glendinning, a former deputy director of development at the London Thames Gateay Corporation, for the role.

The council is working on a number of major regeneration projects in the borough, including working with the BBC, Helical Bar and Marks & Spencer on plans for the White City area , known as Creative London.

The site could house up to 4.5m sq ft of commercial space and 3,500 homes.
