Hamptons International has bought a south west London residential agency Allen Briegel as part of its UK and international expansion plans.
Hamptons International is a subsidiary of Dubai’s Emaar properties. Allen Briegel was established in 1988 and consists of two related agencies – Allen Briegel and Michael Gregory – and has four branches in Putney, Sheen, Barnes and Wimbledon.
It specialises in residential properties and also focuses on development land and the new build market. All staff will be retained as part of the deal.
Mark Anderson, managing director at Hamptons International, said: ‘The acquisition of Allen Briegel helps build upon Hamptons International’s growing network of sales and lettings branches, strengthening the agency’s position across south west London. In addition, the deal provides Hamptons with excellent land and development opportunities, helping to increase our market share and highlight our commitment to this sector. This forms a central part of our growth plan over the next two years.’
Following the deal Hamptons International will have 85 branches across the UK which is line with the company’s target of reaching more than 100 offices by 2010.
