HF Developments’ G1 office development in Glasgow has broken the city’s rental record with a letting to construction consultancy Gardiner & Theobald.
The firm has taken the 12,300 sq ft first floor in the building at a rent of £29.50/sq ft.
Gardiner & Theobald are expecting to move to the development on George Square, which topped out on 30 January this year, in October.
They have taken a 15-year lease on the space.
The last record rent for Glasgow was set in Premier Property Group’s 141 Bothwell Street where HSBC agreed top pay £28.50/sq ft for a 20,000 sq ft office in August last year.
G1 is a 131,000 sq ft office development over nine floors. It is expected to break the £30/sq ft barrier on the upper floors.
