The Highways Agency has completed its deal to sign up for 50,000 sq ft at the Cube in Birmingham.

It will pay £25/sq ft at the Birmingham Development Company scheme.

The 23-storey, 500,000 sq ft scheme is the Mailbox’s final phase, and will comprise 111,461 sq ft of offices, 244 flats, a boutique hotel, shops, waterside cage bars and a rooftop restaurant let to D&D London, formerly Conran.

The agency will relocate from its base at Broadway, Five Ways, in March 2010.

GBR acted for the Birmingham Development Company and King Sturge acted for the Highways Agency.
