Hillbrooke Hotels has bought Master Builder’s House Hotel in Buckler’s Hard, in the New Forest National Park from Lord Montagu’s Beaulieu Estate .

The estate, advised by Christie + Co , sold the leasehold interest of the historic building in the region of £450,000.

The Master Builder’s House Hotel was formerly the home of Henry Adams, the master shipbuilder who oversaw the design and building of many of the Royal Navy’s ships in the 18th and 19th Century.

The hotel has 25 en suite bedrooms, many with spectacular views of the Beaulieu River.

The Master Builder’s House Hotel will become Hillbrooke Hotels’ fourth boutique property, which all trade under the banner “Quirky Luxury”.

The company, which was founded and is run by Christoph Brooke, also operates the New Inn in Coln St Aldwyns, Gloucestershire; the Bath Arms in Longleat, Wiltshire; and the Elephant in Pangbourne, Berkshire.
