HMV Group is to shut its Waterstone’s store at 311 Oxford Street, London W1, and has sold the lease to Japanese retailer Uniqlo. The 45,000sq ft (4,180 sq m) store will be Uniqlo’s largest in the UK. Harper Dennis Hobbs advised Uniqlo; Thomas Davidson acted for Waterstones.
