House of Lords urges construction industry to speed up adoption of off-site manufacture

The construction sector ”cannot efficiently meet the need for housing and may struggle to meet the need for infrastructure”, according to a new House of Lords report.

The report, Off-site manufacture for construction: building for change, claims the government and the construction sector must urgently find solutions to the industry’s low productivity and labour shortage.
