Paul Wallwork has resigned as chief executive of Gleeson, the listed urban regeneration and strategic land specialist.

The 46-year old will leave at the end of the year. He is being replaced by Chris Holt, who has been Gleeson’s finance director since 1 May 2007.

'As group finance director, Chris has made a hugely important contribution to the successful restructuring of the group, and his skills and experience mean that he is very well equipped to provide the effective leadership that Gleeson will continue to need in an exceptionally difficult economic environment,’ said chairman Dermot Gleeson.

Holt’s successor as finance director will be Alan Martin, who is financial controller, a position he has held since November 2006.
