HSBC has confirmed that it has taken 18,750 sq ft of space at Premier Property Group’s 141 Bothwell Street in Glasgow, as tipped by Property Week (06.06.08).
The bank has signed a 15 year lease at around £27.50/sq ft.
HSBC will use the space for its ‘premier banking service’ after the building’s completion in December. The building is due for completion in December.
The letting follows McGrigors, the law firm, taking a 36,500 sq ft prelet in the building last year which leaves 120,750 sq ft in the 176,000 sq ft building, opposite Credit Suisse’s 70,000 sq ft Aurora building.
HSBC had previously considered moving in to Aurora at 120 Bothwell Street.
However, Barclays ensured its rival would not move into the same building by expanding to the ground and first floor last summer.
