Hyman and Reid launch bid for split cap

HR Properties, a company controlled by two of BFS's directors, Harry Hyman and Tony Reid, is preparing to submit a 20.25p-a-share offer, which would value BFS's ordinary shares at £17.8m. This is just below BFS's net asset value of 20.4p a share at 30 September 2003.
