Grocery retailer Iceland has agreed a deal to acquire 19 former Poundworld stores following the collapse of the discount retailer this summer.
Poundworld fell into administration in June and has subsequently closed all of its 335 stores with the leases on many of the stores returned to landlords after the collapse of a proposed brand buyout by Irish retail family the Henderson’s earlier this month
