Manchester City Council has given the green light for the city’s largest ever development scheme.

Regeneration developer Cibitas Investments – an amalgam of ING Real Estate, Stanhope, a joint venture between Waystone and CP Holdings and various private investors - has won outline planning consent for Holt Town Waterfront, an urban quarter which will stretch over 95 acres and provide more than 4,300 homes.

The development, less than a mile from Manchester’s city centre will be built over a 10-15 year period, with the first of the properties being available to buy this year. It will include additional recreational facilities and outdoor spaces, including a river valley park.

The scheme will be delivered in partnership with inward investment agency New East Manchester and Manchester City Council.
