S Harrison, the Yorkshire developer, is to make the former Terry’s factory site in York its new head office.

S Harrison will be the first business to move onto the Terry’s site, kick-starting the regeneration of the former Chocolate works.

Harrison, which recently sold its construction arm to Rok in a £4.8m deal, has bought the 1920s Time Office building on the site from York-based Grantside group who are developing the site.

Harrison will make the building its new headquarters and will incorporate a number of “Green” features into the refurbished offices.

Martyn Harrison, chairman of Harrison, said: ‘Our move to the Chocolate Works will mark the start of the regeneration of the whole site. The Time Office is a real piece of York’s history.’

The Time office is to be renamed Stanley Harrison House, in memory of Martyn Harrison’s late father who formed the company in 1952.
