Jamie Ritblat’s Delancey has bought Bovey Castle hotel and golf resort in Devon for £26.4m.

Bovey Castle, the 5 star resort on 365 acres (147 ha) on Dartmoor National Park, owned by from entrepreneur Peter De Savary, has been bought by Delancey’s joint venture with Hand Picked Hotels directors Gregor Ritchie and Arvinder Walia, Hilwood Resorts & Hotels.

Jamie Ritblat, chief executive of Delancey, said: ‘Bovey Castle is a highly exclusive resort, and a fantastic asset to have acquired.

The purchase comes six months after Hilwood’s purchase of The Grand in St Helier, Jersey, in April.
