Jones Lang LaSalle has beefed up its presence in Germany with the purchase of Dusseldorf-based retail management specialist Brune Consulting Management.

The purchase of the firm brings 30 staff and a client list comprising both German and international investors to JLL. The global firm also inherits more than 2.5m sq ft of retail space mandates across nine shopping centres, added to the 2m sq ft of existing space it already manages.

Markus Renert, director and board member of the German management board of JLL, said: ‘With this volume and business platform Jones Lang LaSalle has positioned itself as one of the leading companies in the area of shopping centre management in Germany.

We are going to expand these business activities consistently in order to meet the requirements and the demand from the market side and thus the investors’ needs.’

Reinert and Peter Orend, CFO for Jones Lang Lasalle in Germany will become managing directors of Brune Consulting Management. The previous managing director, Rainer Bodenburg, will continue to support the company as a consultant.
