Jones Lang LaSalle’s managing director of corporate finance Chris Jolly is leaving to join Merrill Lynch.
Jolly, who held his position jointly at JLL with Tony Edgley, will take up the role of managing director at Merrill Lynch’s Europe, Middle East and Africa real estate team.
Tony Edgley, JLL’s managing director of corporate finance, said: ‘Chris has made a great contribution to the firm over the past several years, for which we thank him. The corporate finance team at Jones Lang LaSalle is stronger than ever. We have added new business lines, grown our team by over 50% and have doubled our revenues.
‘We will actively recruit to replace Chris and see this as an exciting time for the Corporate Finance team as the markets continue to find their feet post credit crunch.
'We see the change in the market place as an opportunity for the team; this is where our specialist real estate and finance skills can really come into their own as our clients look to rebalance, restructure and re-evaluate their capital structures.
'We are already seeing this trend emerge and expect it to continue through in to 2008.’
