Kenmore Homes has formed a joint venture partnership with Norwich-based developer Chessfield Estates to build new homes for local and first-time buyers in the historic town of Thetford as part of its Eastern expansion.

The development, which comprises 20 residential units, is situated close to the train station in Thetford, the market town used as a filming location for BBC sitcom Dad's Army. The scheme will complete in January.

Kenmore Homes, a subsidiary of Scottish company Kenmore Property Group, said it was looking for more development opportunities in the East Anglia region to add to their existing two sites in Bury St Edmunds and one site in Colchester, which will be launched soon. In total, Kenmore Homes is developing approximately 150 homes in the region.
