Kensington hotel redevelopment plans rejected

Holiday Inn Kensington Forum

The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Council planning committee voted last night against plans submitted by Queensgate Investment and development partner Rockwell to redevelop the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum hotel.

The council, which sat until after midnight on Thursday night, voted against the plans which would see the 500,000 sq ft hotel near Gloucester Road underground station demolished to make way for a new 749-room hotel, 340 serviced apartments and 46 homes.
