King Sturge has pounced on Erinaceous’ commercial auctions team following the company’s collapse earlier this month.

The deal, which signed yesterday morning, heralds King Sturge’s first move into the commercial auctions market.

Exploring for some time

‘Property auctioneering is an area of business that King Sturge has been exploring for some time but there are very few top teams and over the years entry into this market at the right level has proved to be difficult,’ said Mark Stupples, King Sturge’s London managing partner. ‘Given the circumstances of Erinaceous going into administration we have had to move quickly and we are very pleased that the team has decided to join us.’

The Erinaceous team will join King Sturge from 1 May, operating out of it’s Warwick Street headquarters in London’s West End.

Jason Birch and Felix Rigg, formerly managing director and co-director of NAI Erinaceous commercial auctions, will join King Sturge as partners.
