Kingfisher, the retail group that owns B&Q, is taking steps towards setting up an Indian operation. Sunday Telegraph
Speaking at the World Retail Congress in Barcelona last week, Steve Gilman, who runs B&Q across Asia, asked Kamal Nath, Indian commerce and industry minister, when retail groups such as Kingfisher might be allowed to launch their brands in the subcontinent.
Kingfisher is expanding fast in Asia and already owns China’s largest DIY chain. It plans to open six further stores in China this year.
