Recycling company SCA Recycling has taken a 125,000 sq ft industrial unit in Southampton in the largest industrial deal in the region for 18 months.

SCA Recycling has taken an assignment of the lease on the building at Plot 8, Hounsdown Business Park in Totton, Southampton, from Dixons Mastercare at a rent of £7/sq ft.

The building is owned by Axa Sunlife.

Lambert Smith Hampton’s Jerry Vigus, director in its Fareham office, which acted for Axa Sunlife said: ‘This is a significant transaction for the south coast market.

'It not only marks the largest industrial letting for some 18 months, but also sees an established company expanding in the region.’

Dixons Mastercare was advised by Doherty Baines and Colliers CRE. SCA Recycling was advised by King Sturge.
