The developers behind Leeds West End development have unveiled plans today.

MEPC, Town Centre Securities, KW Linfoot, George Wimpey, HBG Properties and Bruntwood, who have joined forces with Leeds City Council, are planning more than £1bn of investment into the city to include retail, offices and flats.

The plans include 185,879 sq ft of retail space, more than 3m sq ft of offices and 3,440 apartments.

Richard Lewis, development director, Town Centre Securities, said: ‘What the City really needs is a genuine mix of five star and affordable accommodation, Green space which they can safely walk through and a community which is conveniently connected to other areas of the city. This is evident in some of the famous European Cities, and we want Leeds to follow in their steps.’
