Fewer than half of the units expected to come on to the Dubai real estate market by mid-2009 have been delivered, according to new research.

Jones Lang Lasalle MENA had expected a total of 22,400 units to be delivered by the middle of the year but the company's head of research said fewer than half were evident.

'It is quite difficult to ascertain the actual number, but according to our survey less than half of the units have been delivered by mid year,' Craig Plumb said in comments published in Emirates Business on Tuesday.
