The four largest European data centre markets of Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam and Paris are on track to achieve the first-ever 200MW year on record.
The four markets recorded a second consecutive 50MW+ quarter to bring the 2018 year-to-date total to 147MW, alreading beating last year’s total according to new research from CBRE. The researchers anticipate further “significant activity” in the final quarter to take the 2018 total to comfortably above 2016’s high of 155MW.
CBRE’s latest global data centres research also found that 2018 has seen a record increase in supply across the four FLAP markets with take-up dominated by large scale transactions in Q3 2018.
