Magnier hires Kroll in Laing spat

John Magnier, the Irish bloodstock tycoon, has hired Kroll, the corporate investigators, in his increasingly personal legal battle with Laing O’Rourke, the construction group. The Times says that Ireland’s seventh-richest man is understood to have asked the financial detective agency to look into the finances of both Laing O’Rourke and Ray O’Rourke, its reclusive chairman.
