Marks & Spencer has become the latest retailer to move into St George’s riverside development, Imperial Wharf, after taking 17,229 sq ft for a food store.

Fit out works have started on the M&S Simply Food which will open in Spring 2008.

M&S will join Wimbledon Wine Cellar, Gambados family indoor play centre and Bright Horizons childcare and education centre at the 32-acre development. There is also a Young’s waterside bar, and Yi-Ban, Deep, Saran Rom and Memories of India restaurants at the development.

Imperial Wharf, next to Chelsea Harbour in Fulham, include 1,800 apartments, 50% of which are affordable, and a 10,959 sq ft Avenue Business Centre.
