Marks & Spencer has taken a 1.1m sq ft distribution shed at ProLogis Park Bradford.
As tipped by Property Week in September last year Marks & Spencer has agreed to take a new ‘green’ shed which is being built to BREEAM Very Good standards.
The development will also be carbon neutral. ProLogis plans to offset any emissions produced during the construction process through the purchase of carbon credits and various organic reductions.
Andrew Griffiths, managing director for ProLogis in the UK, said: ‘In addition to warehousing and office space, the building will include training rooms, onsite catering and staff facilities.
'We believe this development demonstrates our ability to deliver build-to-suit solutions on an unparalleled scale.’
ProLogis Park Bradford is a 90-acre business park in Yorkshire. At full build-out it will contain two buildings comprising up to 1.25m sq ft of space.
ProLogis plans to develop additional office and industrial space at the site on a build-to-suit basis, and is currently marketing the park to businesses with local and regional operations.
