Grosvenor and Lend Lease have signed Marks & Spencer at their Preston Tithebarn scheme.
The store will be the second anchor at the scheme following principal anchor John Lewis which signed in November 2007.
The partnership will submit a planning application for the 32 acre scheme later this year and it plans to open the scheme in 2014.
M&S will relocate to a new 150,000 sq ft store, more than double the size of its existing location in the city.
Anthony Gill, project director at the Preston Tithebarn Partnership said: ‘M&S’s commitment to Preston Tithebarn underlines our confidence in the scheme and its ability to attract some of the best retailers operating in the UK.
'We want to create a retail mix that increases choice for local shoppers and attracts people into the city currently favouring other destinations.’
