Manchester developer Nikal has been selected as preferred developer for a new waterfront business district in Hull.
Hull Citybuild announced the partnership at MIPIM for the latest phase of redevelopment of Hull’s Humber Quays.
The scheme is the fourth phase of development at Humber Quays and will include office space, a restaurant and high grade apartments.
The 6 or 7 storey scheme is at the detailed design stage and is scheduled for completion by Autumn 2009.
John Holmes, chief executive of Hull Citybuild said: ‘We have been pleased with their [Nikal’s] first development, Freedom Quay, both in terms of quality and their commitment to engaging local contractors.’
Jonny Wrigley, development director at Nikal, said: ‘It is going to be one of the most desirable locations for people and business in the north of England and we are delighted to be a part of it.’
