New hotels chief for Aprirose

Tim Shearman

Investor Aprirose has continued its expansion in the hotels sector with the appointment of former London & Regional chief operating officer Tim Shearman as chief executive officer for hotels.

As CEO of hotels, Shearman will be charged with overseeing the asset management and growth of the new hotel business within Aprirose’s £1.7bn portfolio.

Last week, Aprirose made its first move into the aparthotels sector with the acquisition of a site in Dalston, London with planning permission for a £40m aparthotel development. That followed a major move into the wider hotels sector with the acquisition of the QHotel business from Bain Capital Credit and Canyon Partners for £525m in September 2017. That deal took the total number of hotels in its portfolio to 37.
