Housing association Clarion Housing Group has appointed Sue Cocking as its new regional managing director for the Midlands and North West.
Clarion is targeting growth of its development operation in the Midlands, northern home counties and the North West and recently made its biggest acquisition in the North West to date by agreeing to buy a 165-home site in Sandbach, Cheshire, with a £47m gross development value.
She has been promoted from within Clarion and brings senior housing association and real estate consultancy experience gained at Savills and Knight Frank.
Austen Reid, group director of development at Clarion said: “Regionalisation of our development programme will ensure we have the right skills and experience on the ground. Sue will lead Clarion’s step change in housing delivery in key growth areas.”
Earlier this year, Clarion Housing Group made Ruth Cooke as its new chief executive taking over from the retiring Keith Exford in April 2018.
